Brandon, Wisconsin, located in Fond du Lac County on state highway 49, was first known as Bungtown. William Lockin, an early settler, had it renamed Brandon after a town in Vermont. Its 850 residents live about 20 miles west of Fond du Lac, which is at the southern end of Lake Winnebago.
